About Me

My name is Stu. I’m a Systems Architect on the Infrastructure Systems team at BeyondTrust (a Privileged Access Management company), working out of their Southern California office. My team manages physical and virtual infrastructure across multiple datacenters, supporting a diverse mix of hypervisor platforms — including VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix, and Hyper-V — along with enterprise Unix systems like IBM Power/AIX and Oracle VMS.

My current work sits at the intersection of infrastructure modernization, automation, and platform evaluation: migration projects, capacity planning, and keeping complex, heterogeneous environments reliable while improving their economics and manageability. Recently that’s meant deep dives into OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix, and OpenStack as part of a broader move away from VMware, alongside expanding infrastructure automation with Ansible, workflow automation with n8n, and integrating AI tooling to reduce toil and improve how we build and manage systems.

I’m a long-time member of the IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society, both of which I’ve found to be genuinely valuable resources throughout my career.
